It was time for a new replica build. One of my good ol’ Neumann KH120A broke _again_ so I decided to make my owns once again and decided to create a bit more complex ones this time.
These ones were a bit more tricky to draw from line images. This time there was even more hidden depths, but I think I was able to do quite good, nothing a little sanding couldn’t take care of.
I made a small test routing with my new cnc router table and the dimensions feel quite right. Don’t mind the layer heights, this was mainly to test the routers capabilities.
All parts routed
One set primed and one set waiting. Not sure if these would have been way cooler painted full white.
Glued and filled
Drying out.
Bass grilles in the making. Designed with Fusion360 and printed of PETG with Creality Ender 3.
And same treatment for the tweeter grille.
Collars for the tweeters painted
Crossover assembly fitted under reflex port.
Moments before bass grille installation.
It has a bit peculiar shelf after 1k or a canyon between 200 and 1k.
