For many years I wanted to build my own MPCNC and finally I had the room to build it. https://docs.v1engineering.com/mpcnc/
Printing the parts was quite easy but took some time – even with 0.8mm nozzle and 0.3mm layers with my Ender 3. Didn’t count the wider nozzle so it took a bit more filament than I anticipated around 2.5kg.
Hardware was quite easy to find. Pipes, bolts and nuts were bought from Puuilo and cost about 40€.
Wood was from K-Rauta and cost a ridiculous amount versus the hardware.
As the controller I used my old 3D-printer board. It’s a MKS Gen L v1.0 from a few years back equipped with TMC2208(?) stepper boards. Btw. Marlin works quite well even in CNC.
The display is the cheapest 12864 LCD display from Amazon.
